Trauma. This session looks at some ideas around the transmission of trauma that link Freud and Jewish history. It focuses on the memory of violence. Some Jewish responses to the Akedah and Freud's 'Moses and Monotheism' are brought together to address the question of what it is that passes across generations in the form of trauma and identity.
