Conversations on Israel - Bet Midrash: the essence of decision

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Could the Second Temple's destruction have been prevented? Were the rebellions against Rome courageous or reckless? Which values are worth dying for? Through a close reading of Tractate Gittin 55 (Kamtza and Bar-Kamtza) and with input from contemporary thinkers, we'll try and understand what the story can tell us about politics, values and how to protect our hard won sovereignty.
