Welcome to the Limmud Conference 2013 web app
If you would like to see the mobile and tablet app go to www.limmud2013.sched.org/mobile

This app is live and changes will be made in real-time. You may therefore come across discrepancies with the hard copy handbook. The app - together with the daily update sheets on Limmud Conference itself - reflect the most up-to-date schedule. You may need to refresh the page of the app to see any new changes.

We recommend that you set up an account and create your own schedule to have a truly personal Limmud Conference experience.

Haroset: the taste of history

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Haroset, which we all know from the Passover seder, was not always the same everywhere: its symbolism, ingredients and taste have all varied: Rashi's haroset was sour! We will look at how haroset has developed, in different texts and cultural contexts over time. And (if I can get my act together), I plan to provide samples of the different tastes.
