Our Sacred scriptures are thought to be inspired and timeless. Yet different ideas seem to be expressed in the scriptures themselves at different times. Besides, different interpretations have sometimes apparently been influenced by a sense of rivalry between our communities. Can we come to a new understanding of the authenticity and relevance of the 'other' scripture?

Halima Krausen

Having studied Islamic theology and law, Halima usually teaches in Muslim circles but after years of interfaith dialogue she increasingly enjoys teaching and studying with people from other religious traditions, focussing on texts and their interpretation.

Sybil Sheridan

Sybil is a rabbi at Wimbledon Synagogue, Chair of the Assembly of Reform Rabbis (UK) and director of Meketa, a charity supporting Jews in Ethiopia. A long term Limmudnik, her passions are Bible study, interfaith, feminism, social action and world Jewry.
